As a result of the Affordable Care Act, hundreds of
thousands of uninsured Chicagoans will become newly eligible for health care
coverage. We are working diligently to reach, educate and enroll as many
eligible people as possible in the newly available health insurance options.
The Affordable Care Act Information Seminar will
feature speakers with the Illinois Health Insurance Marketplace and the Small
Business Administration. These speakers will explain how the new
health care law will affect you, how you can purchase health care insurance
plans through the new Health Insurance Marketplace, and if you are eligible for
new tax credits to help cover the cost of coverage. Our guest speakers
will also be available to answer any questions you may have. Information will
also be available about the new County Care Program, a program to enroll
newly eligible low-income individuals in the Medicaid program. Eligible
individuals will be able to enroll on site.
This event is designed to provide you with important
information about how the new health care reform law will affect you and what
benefits it can provide you.
