Robbers Point Homeowner's Own Shotgun at Him in Roscoe Village

Another had a knife and threatened, "I'm gonna start stabbin'." After fleeing the West Belmont Avenue home, they didn't get far.

A Roscoe Village homeowner was napping when two men and a woman broke into his house and stole weapons, cash, an Xbox and cellphones, according to Chicago Police. All three suspects are now in custody, however.

The break-in happened about 6 p.m. Tuesday in the 1800 block of West Belmont Avenue. After several knocks on the door, the homeowner let the woman in. When the door knocked again, the men rushed into the house, struck him and began grabbing his stuff, including a pistol, rifle and shotgun, the Chicago Tribune reports.

One man forced the victim to his knees and pointed the shotgun at him and said, “I’m reloaded.” The other man had a knife and said, “I“m gonna start stabbin’.”
