Robbers Punched Victims, Stole Property In Albany Park

Police have issued a community alert warning of assaults in the Irving Park and Albany Park area.

CHICAGO, IL — Chicago police said two people were assaulted in separate robberies on the city's North Side recently. In both robberies, the victims were punched in the face and their belongings were stolen, according to a police community alert. The assaults happened in the Irving Park and Albany Park neighborhoods.

The first robbery happened in the 3400 block of West Irving Park Road on Jan. 20, at 4 a.m. The second assault happened in Albany Park in the 4700 block of North Saint Louis Avenue on Feb. 11 at 5:45 p.m.

Police are investigating the assaults. Anyone with information is asked to call Area North detectives at (312) 744-8263.
