July is just about to get hotter than usual when a record 14 burger vendors fire up their grills at this year's Roscoe Village Burger Fest on Sat/Sun, July 13-14. Add to that the rockin' music on two stages and mid-summer is gonna be sizzling.
In addition to mouth-watering
burgers and two music stages, there's also a "Kids' Zone" activity area (from 11:00 a. m.-6:00 p.m. each day) featuring an arts & craft tent, inflatables, rock climbing,
miniature golf and more. There will also be arts & craft vendors, and visitors will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite Chicago burger.
>This year's burger vendors are (which includes six new participants): Banh Mi & Company (NEW); River North's The Burger Joint (NEW); Lincoln Park's Butcher & the Burger; Bucktown's Cortland's Garage; Goose Island Brewpubs; Andersonville's Hamburger Mary's; Lakeview's Indie Burger (NEW); West Irving Park's Leader Bar Drafthouse & Eatery (NEW); North Center's Mrs. Murphy & Sons Irish Bistro; Wrigleyville's Rockit Burger Bar; Lakeview's Select Cut Steakhouse; Lincoln Park's Stanley's Kitchen & Tap; West Belmont's Square Bar & Grill (NEW); and River North's Twenty Five Degrees (NEW).
>The eclectic music lineup includes Florida alt-rockers Sister Hazel; acclaimed New Orleans rockers Cowboy Mouth;the blues/funk of Rob Blaine's Big Otis Blues; lauded Chicago rockers Vintage Blue; and popular Talking Heads tribute troupe This Must Be the Band.
