United Spirit Athletics Cheerleaders from Chicago became 2014 National Champions at the GLCC Showdown / Jamfest Nationals in Schaumburg on Sunday, February 2nd, 2014.
With 1000's of cheerleaders in attendance, the United Spirit Athletics cheerleaders spirited away with a pretty cool trophy, individual gold trophies, a very colorful banner, and tenth anniversary jackets, plus a great inner confidence and confirmation of their commitment and hard work.
The girls, ages 10-17, jumped, tumbled and stunted with the confidence of champions, and it worked! The choreographed tumbling couldn't have been more seamless. The dance was energetic. The jumps synchronized. The flexibility in the stunts was amazing. All performed within a 2 minute routine to a mix of today's funnest music. This win qualified them for the U.S. Finals. The season is not over but it was a great start to their journey to the U.S. Finals April 12, 2014 at Navy Pier.
