Woman Groped On Blue Line Train On Northwest Side

A woman said she was sexually assaulted between the Irving Park and Addison stops.

CHICAGO, IL — Police have issued a warning after a woman said she was groped on a CTA Blue Line train in the city's Irving Park neighborhood Sunday night. The 25-year-old told police the assault happened between the Irving Park and Addison stops, police said. Police arrived at the Addison station just after 11:50 p.m. to meet her.

The woman said an unknown man sitting behind her began touching her around her hips and buttocks, according to police.

The woman wasn't injured and declined medical treatment, police said.
