Chamberlain Group's Oak Brook Team Raises $10,000 for St. Jude Hospital
Chamberlain Group's Oak Brook team walked nearly 60,000 miles to raise $10,000 on behalf of St. Jude Hospital.

OAK BROOK, IL — Several hundred members of Chamberlain Group’s (CGI) Oak Brook team gathered to complete a journey of almost 60,000 miles to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
At a rate of $0.17 per mile—commemorating 2017 as the first year of the initiative—the company then presented a check for $10,000 to a representative from St. Jude.
“This was a part of our company’s wellbeing program,” said JoAnna Sohovich, Chief Executive Officer, CGI. “So, we wanted to partner with an organization whose mission it is to improve the health and wellbeing of others, and St. Jude does that in such a meaningful way. It is an honor to partner with them and to present the donation that our team worked so hard to raise.”

Each year CGI employees participate in a team-based Walking Challenge to track steps. The charitable component was added new this year to the program.
“We define wellbeing as something that incorporates not only physical health, but social and emotional wellbeing, too” said Naomi Saladin, Chief Human Resources Officer, CGI. “Participating in a charitable effort like this that is rooted in physical activity helps satisfy so much of that. Focusing on our Employees and being Good Corporate Citizens are part of our Company’s Values and it’s great to see those brought to life today. This was a great event for CGI!”

“The generosity of Chamberlain Group and its employees is truly inspiring and life-changing,” said Sean Morgan, Senior Philanthropic Advisor, St. Jude, Midwest Region. “Seventy-five percent of our operating costs come from supporters like our friends at Chamberlain Group. Because of their support, St. Jude is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases.”
Today’s event marks the kickoff for Good Corporate Citizenship events that Chamberlain Group will participate in throughout the year. Upcoming events will benefit those aimed at Education, Sustainability and Humanitarian causes.
