Corn Kernel-Eating Man Breaks Record In Oak Brook
David Rush ate 241 corn kernels one by one at Oak Brook Library.

OAK BROOK, IL --- When David Rush puts his mind to achieving something, there's not much that can stop him. The Idaho native, who has achieved several Guinness world records, recently came to Oak Brook Library with a very specific goal in mind: to eat the most corn kernels ---skewered one by one with a toothpick--- in three minutes.
Rush set the new record with his official mid-November attempt, eating a total of 241 corn kernels, five more than the previous record of 236, according to an update on his website. Rush wrote that it took him a total of three tries to achieve his goal, after he struggled with mounting nerves and trembling hands.
Before eating a record amount of corn kernels, Rush had already set dozens of Guinness World Records (more than 75, to be precise) since 2015 in an effort to raise awareness for STEM education. His other world record attempts include most leaves raked in one minute and the most selfies taken in three minutes.
