Fatal I-88 Crash Kills Woman; 3 Others Injured

A 23-year-old Chicago woman has died after the car she was in lost control on eastbound I-88 Sunday morning.

OAK BROOK, IL — An early morning crash on I-88 has claimed the life of a 23-year-old Chicago woman and injured three other Chicago residents, according to the Chicago Sun Times. Shortly after 2 a.m. Sunday, the driver of a silver Lincoln LS lost control of her vehicle on eastbound I-88 near I-294. The car collided with a guardrail before hitting a blue Lincoln LS, Illinois State Police reported, ejecting one woman through the window of the errant vehicle.

When police arrived, the 23-year-old-woman was dead on the scene. The other passengers and the driver of the silver Lincoln were rushed to Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in nearby Downers Grove. As of press time, the condition of the driver of the blue Lincoln was not known. The Daily Herald reports that the accident is still being investigated.
