Free Gospel Concert and Art Collaboration at Christ Church

Singer and Calligrapher Join Efforts in Celebration of Spiritual Music, Arts

Oak Brook, Illinois – Gospel spirituals have historically been a connective tissue within the African-American experience in our nation.

Gospel recording artist Huntley Brown aims to share these cultural connections in a new format during a 3:00 p.m. concert on February 23 at Christ Church Oak Brook, 501 Oak Brook Road.

Brown, an ordained minister in the evangelical church and an internationally known gospel recording and performing artist, will join Timothy Botts, a master calligrapher and illustrator, who has published several books containing calligraphic inscriptions of Scripture, in a collaboration aimed at sharing their artistry in a powerful fusion of sight and sound. The event is free and open to the public.
