High-Speed Chase Ends When Suspect Slams Stolen Car Into Semi Near Oak Brook Terrace: Police
Police say Deandre Williams, 20, of Chicago, was fleeing in a stolen Chevy Equinox when he crashed into a car and semi in Oak Brook.

OAK BROOK, IL — An intense car chase came to an end early Friday morning when the suspect slammed a stolen Chevy Equinox into a semi and a Kia Sol at the intersection of 22nd Street and Route 83 Oak Brook, police said. Deandre Williams, 20, of Chicago was behind the wheel when the accident took place at approximately 4: 45 a.m. Friday. Police say the stolen vehicle had been taken during a residential burglary in Chicago a few hours earlier.
When Oak Brook law enforcement first tried to pull over Williams near the intersection of Kensington and Jorie Boulevard, he continued to flee. Williams eventually lost control of the vehicle, which led to it colliding with a semi tractor trailer and a Kia Sol waiting at the stoplight. The driver of the Kia, a 38-year-old woman, was taken to Elmhurst hospital with injuries. The semi driver had no reported injuries.
Williams has been charged with possession of a stolen motor vehicle, aggravated fleeing and eluding police, and no valid driver's license. He is currently being held at DuPage county Jail as he awaits a bond hearing.
