MYAC Invites West Suburban Young Musicians to Oak Brook Play-In

Midwest Young Artists Conservatory invites young musicians in elementary and high school to FREE Play-Ins on Sat. August 24 and Sept. 7.

Midwest Young Artists Conservatory invites young musicians in elementary school and high school to FREE Play-Ins on Saturday, August 24, from 9:30 a.m. to noon (chamber music) and Saturday Sept. 7, from 9:30 a.m. to noon (jazz) in Oak Brook, IL.

  • No audition fees will be required, as this is an introductory offering to form new chamber music groups and jazz combos, coached by MYAC’s expert faculty.
  • No preparation is necessary. Students should bring their instruments and be ready to play! These Play-In events and the MYAC Oak Brook program are open to all ages and levels.
  • After the Play-In, students will be placed in ensembles that rehearse on Saturdays at Christ Church of Oak Brook for 7 weeks, and perform at Ravinia’s Bennett Gordon Hall (Oct 27) and a Highwood jazz venue TBD (Nov 2).

Midwest Young Artists Conservatory satellite location in Oak Brook, IL serves the southwest and west suburban Chicagoland community with youth chamber music instruction and jazz ensemble instruction. Rehearsals will take place at Christ Church of Oak Brook at 501 Oak Brook Rd.

MYAC’s classical, jazz, and choral programs serve students from grade school beginners through advanced pre-collegiate performers.
