New Playgrounds Planned At District 53 Schools

The Butler PTO has plans to raise money for new playgrounds at Butler Junior High and Brook Forest Elementary School.

OAK BROOK, IL - New playgrounds could soon be in the works at both Butler School District 53 schools, according to a memo from the district. The Butler PTO and Oak Brook Park District are expected to collaborate for the project that would install new playgrounds at Brook Forest Elementary, 60 Regent Drive and Butler Junior High, 2801 York Road.

The PTO plans to raise the money for the new equipment, while the Park District will help with the installation at the junior high.

“It’s a fabulous opportunity to work with the PTO and Park District toward something we’ve wanted for a long time,” District 53 Board President Dr. Elizabeth Chun said.
