To be called Oak Brook Reserve, proposed plans will be headed soon to the Village’s planned development commission, before eventually coming to the Village Board for final approval.

The development is the vision of John Paul DeJoria, who purchased the property in June 2019 from McDonald’s for $40 million. DeJoria is the co-founder of John Paul Mitchell Systems, a company that has served the professional beauty industry with hair care products and styling tools for nearly 40 years, and of Patron Spirits Company.
