In light of the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic, the Village is imposing a precautionary step enacting a temporary ban on all outside burning. This action is an additional step to protect our residents and the community by reducing respiratory issues that can be brought on by COVID-19. The virus especially affects the respiratory system. It can cause asthma attacks and can lead to pneumonia and acute respiratory distress. People with asthma are recommended to avoid asthma triggers such as smoke from burning wood or burning vegetation.
