Townhome Fire Under Investigation In Unincorporated Oak Brook

No one was inside a townhome under renovation on Avenue LaTours W when it caught fire Thursday morning.

OAK BROOK, IL - A townhome fire in an unincorporated area of Oak Brook is under investigation after the building was found "fully engulfed in flames" by firefighters Thursday morning. The building has been vacant under a renovation and no one was injured, according to a statement from the Du Page County Sheriff's Office.

Sheriff's deputies and fire department personnel arrived at the fire on Avenue LaTours W after receiving a call about it around 5:25 a.m., the statement says.

No one was inside the residence at the time of the fire, which is under investigation by the Du Page County Fire Investigation Task Force.

Several nearby roadways were closed as fire crews responded. All except Avenue LaTours W has been re-opened as of 9 a.m.
