Author and former Chicago radio reporter Janet Sutherland, who grew up in Glen Ellyn, nearly died from a brain aneurysm. When she recovered, she adopted Andrew J, a Pembroke corgi who became Janet’s best friend and protector. Her book “Andrew J: The Corgi Who Rescued Me” explains to children how pets play in an important role in helping those who are sick or injured.

A portion of the proceeds from this unique collection of stories will be donated to the Brain Aneurysm Foundation, the globally recognized leader in brain aneurysm awareness, education, support, advocacy and research funding. Proceeds will also be donated to Corgiaid, a nonprofit organization that assists in the rescue and fostering of corgis and corgi mixes.
