185 Students Participate in Junior Achievement's JA Town Simulation
Students selected careers from a variety of career clusters and applied real-world financial skills.

Bremen High School District 228 hosted Junior Achievement’s JA Town at Bremen High School on Friday, February 27.
JA Town is a capstone program focused on personal financial planning and career exploration. With the support of community volunteers, 185 students developed realistic personal budgets that included income, housing, utilities, transportation, food, self-care, education, savings, and insurance.
Students selected careers from a variety of career clusters and applied real-world financial skills, including budgeting, saving, managing credit and debt, and understanding insurance.

This hands-on simulation reinforced the concepts students learn in their Personal Finance course by providing a meaningful, real-world application.

About Bremen High School District 228
Bremen High School District 228 is located in the southwest suburbs of Chicago and serves the communities of Midlothian, Posen, Tinley Park, Markham, Hazel Crest, Country Club Hills and Oak Forest. District 228 serves over 5,000 students and employs 800 full and part-time staff members. Bremen High School, in Midlothian, opened its doors to students in September of 1953. Since then, District 228 opened three additional schools. Tinley Park High School opened in 1961; Hillcrest High School, in Country Club Hills, opened in 1967; and Oak Forest High School opened in 1970.
