2 People, 1 Dog Found Shot To Death Inside Harvey Home: City

A second dog was also shot and remains in critical condition, the City of Harvey said.

HARVEY, IL — Harvey police are investigating after two people were found shot to death inside a Harvey home early Thursday.

Harvey Police Thursday morning responded to a residence near 150th Street and Vine Avenue, where two individuals were found dead from apparent gunshot wounds. Two dogs were also shot during the incident. One dog died from its injuries, while the other remains in critical condition, the City of Harvey said.

The victims' identities have not yet been released.

An investigation remains active and ongoing. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Harvey Police Department Detective Division at 708-331-3030, ext. 226.

“I am heartbroken by the tragic loss of two lives in our community today," said Mayor Shirley Drewenski. "On behalf of the City of Harvey, I extend my deepest condolences to the victims’ families and loved ones during this unimaginable time."
