21-Gun Salute Coming For St. Damian's Rev. Scanlan

OAK FOREST, IL — Military honors will be bestowed before the funeral Mass for Rev. Francis G. "Jerry" Scanlan at St. Damian Church, 5250 W. 155th Street. Residents nearby should anticipate a 21-gun salute at approximately 11 a.m.

Rev. Francis G. Scanlan, was former associate pastor of St. Damian Parish in Oak Forest and a retried lieutenant colonel and Army chaplain of the Illinois National Guard.

Scanlan died Wednesday, Oct. 19. He was 87 years old.
