$37,000 Loan for Sex-Change Surgery Proves to be an Expensive Tryst
Crestwood man asks Midlothian police to investigate his Midlothian lover, but police say there is no crime.

A Crestwood man who claims his transgender lover bilked him out of $37,000 for a sex-change operation was told by Midlothian police to take his complaint to civil court because no crime had taken place.
The pair met on Craigslist, according to a report filed with Midlothian police in late February, and soon began meeting for sex. The Crestwood man then gave his sex partner $37,000 for surgery.
But the $22,000 check offered as promised repayment bounced, police said.
