ABC7 News Anchor Terrell Brown Speaks with D228 Students
Terrell shared his journey from high school to his current position at ABC7.

Terrell Brown, News Anchor for ABC7 Chicago, visited with TV Production, Information Marketing, DECA, and Sports Marketing classes today, November 21, while at Bremen High School. The students came from across the District to attend the presentation.
Terrell shared his journey from high school to his current position at ABC7. He spoke about his dream to attend college at Syracuse, getting accepted, then not being able to go because his family couldn't afford it. He said he didn't let that stop him and worked hard at Virginia Commonwealth University. He went on to tell students to work hard and enjoy college, but be sure to have the desire and the drive to reach their goals. He told students, "If you want it bad enough and work hard enough, you can become whatever you want to be, and don't let anyone tell you you can't."
Brown then spoke of the stories he has covered and how some made him laugh and some made him cry. He told students in serious stories you cannot have an opinion and if a sad story makes you cry, move on. He also said if the story is humorous, you can have a little fun with it.
Terrell then answered questions and took many, many selfies with students. Bremen Principal Dr. Kibelkis presented Terrell with a few gifts from Bremen to take back to the news desk and before leaving the school, he took a brief tour of the District 228 TV Production studio.
