$1 Million Bail for Accused Killer in Oak Forest Stabbing
The Alsip man faces a murder charge for stabbing his ex-wife's boyfriend.

An Alsip man charged with murder in the stabbing death of Christopher Orth, 33, of Oak Forest, is being held on $1 million bail. Juan L. Gonzalez-Sanchez, 37, appeared before a judge Saturday.
Orth was found around 11 p.m. Thursday. He was stabbed several times in the 15100 block of Chaucer Drive. Orth was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where he was pronounced dead.
Prosecutors on Saturday said Gonzalez-Sanchez went to his ex-wifeβs home in Oak Forest after calling her several times during the day. He was angry about child care. Then he went to the home and confronted Orth in the driveway, pounding on his windows and ramming his car. When Orth got out of the car, according to authorities, Gonzalez-Sanchez stabbed him several times, including in the head.

Prosecutors said he was stabbed two dozen times. Gonzalez-Sanchez stopped when a neighbor armed with a handgun confronted him, prosecutors said Saturday.
