COUNTRY CLUB HILLS, IL — A Harvey man faces gun and drug charges after Cook County Sheriff's deputies discovered a stash inside a Country Club Hills home.
On April 28, deputies were enforcing a court-ordered eviction for all unknown occupants of a home in the 3900 block of West 171st Place when they found loaded firearms, ecstasy, oxycodone, and cannabis inside the home, the sheriff's office said.

They also recovered ammunition, four state license plates, multiple state ID cards, credit cards, phone and more than 100 checks in the home and, in the driveway, a parked BMW that had been reported stolen from Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
Cook County Animal Control was also notified about two puppies found in the garage.
Four people in the home were detained. The Sheriff’s Police Gun Investigations Team continued the investigation.
On April 29, the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office charged Jamell Compton, 26, with aggravated unlawful possession of a weapon-machine gun, four counts of possession of a controlled substance, four counts of manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance and one count of possession of cannabis. He was also charged with a misdemeanor count of obstructing identification.
The others were released without charges, the sheriff's office said.
Compton was ordered to Cook County Jail custody on April 30 following his initial court appearance at the Markham Courthouse.
