Hispanic Heritage Month may have officially concluded, but the celebration continued at Bremen High School on Thursday, Oct. 29, as Throwback 100.3 visited campus for a Hispanic Heritage Homeroom Takeover celebrating culture, student talent and community.
The event brought together students, staff and community partners for music, cultural performances, food and giveaways. Presented in partnership with Boost Mobile, the takeover extended the spirit of Hispanic Heritage Month while providing another opportunity to recognize the traditions and contributions of Bremen's Hispanic community.
Student talent took center stage, with the school's mariachi band preforming music, and a Bremen's Fuego dancers displayed an amazing performance. The performances highlighted students' creativity and cultural pride, giving their peers an opportunity to celebrate alongside them.
Rick Hall of Throwback 100.3 led the festivities, welcoming students and introducing activities throughout the celebration. Food from Joey's Tacos and raffle giveaways added to the experience, creating opportunities for students to connect and enjoy time together.
While Hispanic Heritage Month provides a dedicated time to honor Hispanic histories, cultures and contributions, Bremen's celebration reinforced that cultural recognition and appreciation extend throughout the school year.
Bremen High School thanks Throwback 100.3, Boost Mobile, Joey's Tacos, participating student performers and the staff members who helped bring the celebration to campus.
