CHICAGO — Ready or not, it's time for Christmas music.
At 3 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, 93.9 LITE FM switches over to the Holiday Lite, offering non-stop Christmas music to usher in the 2026 Yuletide season.
The adult contemporary, iHeartRadio station will make the switch to celebrate Christmas as it's seven weeks away, but some might have already pulled out the Christmas décor as soon as Halloween wrapped.
All the favorites will be back, from classic crooners and country singers, to traditional and contemporary holiday songs.
"Roses are red, violets are blue. We have Christmas music just for you," the station said in its announcement Wednesday morning.
Don't miss Bing Crosby, Johnny Mathis, Donnie Hathaway, Little Michael Jackson, John and Yoko, Michael Buble, the Ronettes and many more.
The station will hit the switch while broadcasting live from the Griffin Museum of Science and Industry, they added. The museum's Christmas Around the World and Holidays Of Light exhibit opens Nov. 7 and runs through Jan. 3, 2027, featuring more than 50 trees and displays, each decorated by community volunteers who share family and cultural traditions drawing on their global heritage. Placed throughout the trees are displays representing international seasonal celebrations of light, like Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Diwali and more.
The station is also running a "Pay Your Holiday Bills" contest. Listeners can tune in every hour weekdays on the 25-minute mark from 8:25 a.m. to 8:25 p.m., to hear a special keyword and enter for a chance to win $1,000.
