Arson Ruled In House Fire, 1 Person In Custody: Oak Forest Police

OAK FOREST, IL — One person is in custody Thursday morning after a Wednesday evening house fire in Oak Forest was ruled arson, police said.

Oak Forest authorities were called Wednesday after 7:30 p.m. to a house fire in the 6200 block of Boca Rio Drive. Oak Forest police searched the house to ensure all residents were evacuated. After it was extinguished, the State Fire Marshall ruled the fire an arson, according to Oak Forest Police Chief Jason Reid.

No one was injured in the fire.
