Assisted Living Center Pitched for Tinley Park
The facility would be located a quarter-mile south of the Tony Bettenhausen Recreation Center.
Tinley Park could be home to a new senior housing facility.
Eby Realty Group last week pitched to the plan commission a 37,000-square-foot senior housing facility, with 44 apartments for senior living and 16 for residents with Alzheimer’s. The complex would sit on a 4-acre site at 17301 S. 80th Ave., and would cost approximately approximately $7 million to build. An additional $9 million for other costs would also be tacked on.
Before the developer can move forward, trustees will have to annex in the land, rezone it, and grant a special-use zoning permit. Trustees could act as soon as January or February.
