Baby Boy Killed, 7 Others Injured In Rollover Crash In Harvey: State Police

HARVEY, IL — A 6-month-old infant boy was killed in a single-vehicle crash Sunday evening in Harvey, authorities said.

State police were called to I-57 northbound north of 147th in Harvey Sunday at 5:48 p.m. for a single-vehicle rollover. State police said one occupant was taken to a local hospital and pronounced dead. The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office has identified him as 6-month-old Dakari Lomax, of Chicago.

Seven other people were taken to a local hospital with injuries.

The crash temporarily shut down northbound traffic and the entrance ramp from 147th Street until just before 11 p.m., state police said.
