‘Captain America’ Bank Robber Nabbed Within Minutes: FBI

A man who allegedly robbed the Fifth Third Bank in Country Club Hills wearing a Captain America shirt is in custody.

COUNTRY CLUB HILLS, IL - A man who robbed a bank while wearing a Captain America shirt Tuesday afternoon in Country Club Hills was quickly taken into custody, according to an FBI official. The FBI was en route to the Fifth Third Bank at 4127 W. 167th St. after a report of a bank robbery at 12:33 p.m. FBI Chicago Media Coordinator Garrett Croon initially described the suspect as an Hispanic man, 5’8” to 5’11” with black hair and minutes later, at 12:55 p.m., confirmed that the suspect was in custody.

Information from Bandit Tracker indicates the man was wearing a gray “Captain America” T-shirt, sunglasses and dark colored shorts. He did not show a weapon.
