Mychal McDonald was shot in the 2900 block of Claire Boulevard in Robbins. He was pronounced dead at 11:01 p.m., Chicago Sun-TImes reports.
McDonald, of the 12500 block of South Fairview Avenue in Blue Island, took a fatal gunshot wound to the chest. His death was ruled a homicide, according to the report.
