Body Of Young Girl Found In Markham Attic During Fire

Firefighters found the body of a young girl in an attic of a vacant home that caught fire Monday morning.

MARKHAM, IL - The body of a baby girl was found in a fire Monday morning in Markham. Firefighters found the girl's body in a plastic bag in an attic of a vacant home that caught fire in the 15500 block of Hamlin Avenue around 6:30 a.m., according to a WGN-TV report.

The girl is about a year old, according to WGN's sources. Markham police are assisted by the Illinois State Police with the investigation.
