Boyfriend's Alleged Driveway Punch Lands Grandpa In ER
Grandfather received 12 stitches and suffered concussion from driveway punch, prosecutor says during hearing.

Bail was set at $30,000 for a 26-year-old man after he punched his child’s grandfather following an argument on the driveway, prosecutors said during a Tuesday hearing at the Bridgeview Courthouse.
David Kendall had dropped off his young daughter at her mother’s house in Oak Forest around 2:16 p.m. May 23. Kendall and the girl’s mother started arguing, according to the charges. And when the woman’s 74-year-old grandfather came out to chase him away, the prosecutor said, Kendall punched the elderly man.
The prosecutor said the woman’s grandfather required 12 stitches and suffered a concussion as a result of the punch.

Four years ago, Kendall was arrested in Orland Park on various charges involving a fight with a woman. Orland Park police said Kendall struck a woman in the chest and then pulled her by the arm, cracked the woman’s windshield with his closed fist, and then threw her personal items into the street.
Witnesses told police Kendall threatened them when they came to the woman’s aid, saying, “I know where you live,” and took off on foot. Later, police said, he made 35 threatening phone calls to the woman and threatened to “bust up” her face.
In 2008, Kendall was arrested at Orland Square Mall, according to police, and charged with disorderly conduct for getting into a fight with another man.
