Bremen Honors Fallen Students as Honorary Prom Queen and King

MIDLOTHIAN, IL -- Paola Zambrano and Mark Gorman have posthumously been dubbed the honorary Prom Queen and King at Bremen High School after a well-publicized effort to honor the fallen students.

The official announcement of the honorary Prom Queen and King will come at the school's Friday night prom at the Odyssey Country Club in Tinley Park. The pair will be recognized in addition to a traditional prom king and queen. SEE ALSO: Bremen HS Announces Prom Court 2017

Zambrano, described as a young girl “known and loved by all” died of colon cancer in September of 2015. Mark Gorman was killed when he was hit by a car last October while walking home from a boy scouts outing.

Jake Gorman, Mark's older brother who alerted us to the effort a few weeks back, told Oak Forest Patch this week that indeed the two have been given the honorary distinction.
