Bremen HS Accounting Students Visit Graham School of Management

Saint Xavier University's Graham School of Management gave students information on all of the business majors, including accounting

Bremen High School Accounting students recently visited the Graham School of Management at Saint Xavier University. The students started their day with SXU student ambassadors showing them around the campus, including the athletic center, several dormitories, nursing labs, cafes, the chapel and much more! After the tour they had a Q & A session with the ambassadors and then headed to lunch! The afternoon session was focus on SXU’s business school, the Graham School of Management. While there the students were given information on all of the business majors including more information on Accounting. Three current accounting students came to talk with the BHS students. Topics included downtown internships, different accounting fields, typical classes at SXU, what to expect in college as well as focusing on what SXU offers for first generation college students. The afternoon session was led by the head accounting professor at SXU, Dr. Alex King. The entire day was informative and exciting for the students. “I really enjoyed when Dr. King went through the different professions within the accounting field. I also enjoyed listening to the current students and the experiences they are having. This solidified that I would like to go into accounting,” said BHS junior Michelle Ramirez.
