Bremen HS Announces Illinois State Scholars
Seven students were named 2017-18 Illinois State Scholars

Bremen High School’s Principal Dr. Dave Kibelkis is pleased to announce that seven Bremen High School seniors have been recognized as Illinois State Scholars. The Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC) is the state agency committed to helping make college accessible and affordable for Illinois families, it bestows this prestigious recognition to top Illinois high school students annually. This year nearly 19,000 elite honorees join the other top state students honored for their academic achievements since the designation was first introduced in 1958. Illinois State Scholars represent approximately the top ten percent of high school seniors, hailing from 765 different high schools across the state. Illinois State Scholars possess strong academic potential and are chosen based on a combination of exemplary ACT or SAT test scores and sixth semester class rank. The following students were named 2017-2018 Illinois State Scholars at Bremen High School, Nyrasia Beal, Andrew Costello, Kitara Dee, Leonard Feil, Christian Mercado, Richard Rhein, and Jimara Thomas. Bremen High School is proud of these elite seniors and wishes them nothing but the best as they embark on the next chapter of their lives!
