Bremen HS Art Students Paint for Alumni's Antique Shop

Two Hounds Antique Shop commissioned students to paint penguins for holiday event

Bremen High School’s Drawing & Painting II students had a special treat this past month when they were commissioned by 2002 Bremen graduate Jamie Jasmer Donovan to paint two penguins for her antique business in Wilmington, Illinois. Donovan’s antique shop, Two Hounds, will be participating in Wilmington’s Penguins on Display for the Holidays event. Mrs. Donovan contacted Art Teacher Mrs. Reid to customize the penguins for her shop. “The students had a really great time painting these penguins. Mrs. Donovan was very happy with the outcome and was so glad that Bremen’s art department was able to assist with this holiday event,” said Mrs. Jenny Reid. Participants included: Lizbeth Palafox, Miriam Pantoja, Adrian Delgadillo-Silva, Cristian Alva, Armoni Albert, Annette Smith, Juwan Johnson, Ashley Wall and Calvin Williams. Bremen High School is proud to have their students participate in community events and to work hand in hand with alumni. For more information on the BHS Art Department contact Mrs. Reid, JReid@bhsd228.com.
