Bremen HS Artists Display Their Work at the Annual SSC Visual Art Show
The annual show is held in the Seerveld Gallery at Trinity Christian College
Bremen High School student artists displayed their art in the South Suburban Conference Visual Art Show this month at Trinity Christian College. Participating artists included Austin Allen, Sarah Anderson, Kyle Carson, Dynecia Dixon, Gina Ellis, Guagalupe Frausto, Gabriele Grutzius, Martha Gutierrez, Arturo Hernandez, Zoe Janisse, Emily Jurgovan, Chloe Kaleta, Thomas Parchem, Desite Sosa, and Karen Vargas.
The annual art competition is held in the Seerveld Gallery located in the Arts and Communication Building at the college in Palos Heights. Winning Bremen’s Best of School Award was Advanced Placement Studio Art Senior Tommy Parchem with his sculpture piece. Studio Art Junior Karen Vargas won Honorable Mention at the festival for her drawing piece.
A reception and awards ceremony was held during the evening of April 15 to honor Parchem, Vargas and all the participating artists. The other schools in attendance were: Argo Community High School, Eisenhower High School, Evergreen Park High School, Hillcrest High School, Lemont High School, Oak Forest High School, Oak Lawn High School, Reavis High School, Richards High School, Shepard High School, Thornton Fractional North High School, Thornton Fractional South High School, and Tinley Park High School.
