Bremen HS Athletes of the Month

Bremen High School is proud to announce varsity softball and baseball players Colin Wolton and Alicia Kolacki have been named as May Athletes of the Month!

May’s Female Athlete of the Month, Alicia Kolacki, is a junior on Varsity Softball with a .600 batting average, 19 runs, 3 homeruns, 14 RBIs, and 16 stolen bases. Kolacki is described as an overall leader. Varsity Softball Coach Renee Rybak said, “Kolacki is one of the hardest athletes that I have coached. She puts all of her heart into playing softball in every inning of every game. She leads by example, which boosts morale on the team. Often her teammates go to her for help and suggestions before even coming to the coaching staff. Alicia helps everyone on the team to become better softball players; we are lucky to have her.”

May’s Male Athlete of the Month is Junior Varsity Baseball player Colin Walton. Colin plays pitcher and shortstop for the Braves and is batting .430 with 19 RBIs. On the mound Walton has a 5-1 record with a .60 ERA as well as 52 strikeouts in 35 innings! Varsity Baseball Head Coach Michael Cline said, “Colin is a big part of our success this season. His ability to produce at the plate and excel on the mound makes him a serious dual threat!"
