Bremen HS Athletes Sign Letters of Intent

Alicia Kolacki and Michael Fuentes will continue their sport at the collegiate level

Bremen High School is proud to announce two of its seniors students have signed on to play sports at the collegiate level. Alicia Kolacki has signed on to play collegiate softball with Saginaw Valley State and Michael Fuentes has signed on to play collegiate baseball at Northern Illinois University. While at Bremen, Alicia was an All-Conference, four-year varsity player playing catcher, shortstop and third base. Head BHS Softball Coach Renee Yunker said, "Alicia's presence in the Bremen Softball program will be missed, but I know she will be a great addition to the Saginaw Valley state softball team. She is very determined to always do her best." Alicia plans to study Physical Therapy. Michael is a four-year Varsity baseball player with a career record on the mound of 15-9 with an ERA of 2.02. He has struck out 170 batters in 143 innings pitched. Michael also boasts a career batting average of .351 with 85 RBI. Head Coach Mike Cline stated, "Michael has worked hard to accomplish his dream of becoming a Division 1 baseball pitcher. He has shown true grit in putting in countless hours in the weight room and in training to accomplish this goal." Michael plans to study criminal justice while at NIU. Congratulations to these two Bremen students. We look forward to following them in the future!
