Bremen HS Celebrates Mexican Independence Day
Heritage II classes enjoy a movie to celebrate Mexican Independence Day

On September 16, Bremen High School’s Heritage II classes planned a movie night to celebrate Mexican Independence Day. Foreign language teacher Ms. Mayra Ortega spearheaded the celebration and introduced the students to a box office comedy, Instructions Not Included, staring Eugenio Derbez.
“I typically don’t like watching foreign movies because I don’t like the subtitles, but this movie completely changed my mind; I loved it” exclaimed junior Heritage II student Zyann Scott.
“Students were hesitant about watching a foreign film, but by the end I really think they enjoyed themselves! The turnout was a success; they had fun all while appreciating an authentic Mexican movie,” said Ms. Ortega.

“This was so much fun! I really think we need to have a Latin film club here at Bremen!” said sophomore Heritage II student Llobany Carrillo.
