Bremen HS Chess Team Headed to State
Ten students will be competing in Peoria for the State Tournament
Bremen High School is proud to announce that the 2017 Chess Team will be representing D228 at the IHSA State Competition in Peoria, IL later this month. The Varsity Team was led by Christian Mercado, finished in 3rd Place in Conference and the JV team led by Cristian Ferrera finished in 1st Place. The Bremen Braves that will be competing at the State Tournament are Daniel Aceves, Alyssa Ceballos, Julia Cuthbert, Amner Diaz, Andy Esparza, Lenny Feil, Tyler Gramm, Alan Mendez, Christian Mercado, and Richie Rhein. The Bremen High School staff and students are proud of the 2017 Chess team and look forward to following them down state!
