Bremen HS GSA Club Volunteers at Ronald McDonald House
The students cooked, served, cleaned, and learned about the RMH mission

The Bremen High School GSA club recently volunteered their time at the Ronald McDonald House in Chicago. The students cooked and served brunch, cleaned the kitchen and learned about the mission and purpose of the Ronald McDonald House. “The students were motivated to cook and serve the families staying in the house. For most of the group it was their first experience doing this. Everyone worked as a team to represent Bremen High School. They are already asking when they can return.” said Ms. Mary Rose Bernas, BHS GSA Sponsor. Families that stay at the RMH have a pediatric loved one in a nearby hospital. The goal of the RMH is to give parents and caregivers a place close to their loved ones to rest, relax, have a home-cooked meal, meet other families and find the emotional support they need to focus 100% on their child that is in the hospital.
