Bremen HS Pride Project Welcomes the Class of 2022

The Pride Project group consists of 30 current BHS student leaders that serve as ambassadors for the academic, activity, & athletic programs

During the month of April the Bremen High School Pride Project traveled to three local feeder schools to visit with the 8th grade students that will be transitioning to high school next year. The Pride Project group consists of 30 current BHS student leaders that serve as ambassadors for the academic, activity, and athletic programs that BHS offers. The focus of the presentations at Central Park, Kolmar, and Kellar schools were to allow the BHS Class of 2022 the opportunity to discuss the transition from jr. high to high school with current high school students that have successfully navigated the transition. The Bremen students shared a wealth of information about their high school experiences and what it means to be a Bremen Brave. Additionally, Principal Kibelkis, Assistant Principal Rucinski, and Athletic Director Washington discussed upcoming summer opportunities and how to start their high school career on the right foot. Sophomore Daniel Fus said, “It was a lot of fun getting to talk to the incoming freshmen. We were able to answer questions about activities, elective classes and athletics. I think it's a great idea to have current students talk to incoming students to set the precedent for next year.” For more information on the Bremen Pride Project contact Assistant Principal Ms. Jessica Rucinski atjrucinski@bhsd228.com.
