Bremen HS Social Changes Class Visits Domestic Court

Elective course focuses on teaching skills for life after high school

Bremen High School Social Changes students were eager to attend “divorce court” as many of them referred to it. Social Changes is an elective course that focuses on teaching students life skills for life after high school. One of the many topics they cover is divorce. On March 24, the class traveled to Chicago’s Daley Center to observe domestic court in progress. The students were able to observe court proceedings and even had time to speak to several judges about their career paths, education, and why they chose to become a judge.

“The trip was a lot of fun! It was amazing that they actually let us sit in on court, sit in the jury box, and talk to judges!” said senior Social Changes student Destinee Burton.
