Bremen HS Spanish Teacher Assists Seniors in Filling out FAFSA
Annual workshop assists students in filling out FAFSA forms

Back by popular demand, Spanish Teacher Mrs. Gina Arguelles held her annual line-by-line FAFSA assistance workshop this week. The objective of the night was to help Bremen High School’s seniors and their families fill out the online Free Application for Student Aid (FAFSA) that is required for monetary assistance in postsecondary institutions.
“We had fourteen seniors attend the workshop and filled out their FAFSA application together. I am so excited to be able to help the students and their families with this very important step on their way to reaching their dreams of going to college!” said Arguelles.
Mrs. Arguelles, a Spanish teacher at Bremen, saw a need and wanted to help her students fulfill the requirements of filling out the federal form. Because she is not professionally trained to lead this type of workshop Arguelles sought out resources to help the Bremen community. Mr. Eric Ruiz, Associate Director of Undergraduate Admissions & Coordinator of Multi-Cultural Initiative at the University of St. Francis, came to lead the workshop. Ruiz assists the students at the University of St. Francis fill out the form and gladly offered his assistance for the night.
