Bremen HS Students Attend 34th Annual U.S. Hispanic Leadership Institute

This​​​​ past month Spanish teachers Ms. Gina Arguelles, Ms. Mayra Ortega, Ms. Maria Magdaleno and Ms. Joellen Lee from both Bremen and Hillcrest High Schools took 80 students to the 34th Annual United States Hispanic Leadership Institute (USHLI) Pep Rally and College Fair in Chicago, Illinois. According to the USHLI website, “The conference has become the premier Hispanic leadership conference in the nation, attracting a complete cross section of our leadership community and involving all ancestry groups.”The conference was an amazing inspirational experience for all that were able to attend. Students were amazed by the public speakers and celebrities that were present. Yajaira Araiza, BHS Sophomore said, “The conference was very moving and inspirational.
