Bremen HS Students Complete Service Learning Opportunity
Students wrote words of encouragement to the football team
Bremen High School’s PALS program recently completed a service learning project as part of their program philosophy, “to foster service learning opportunities inside and outside of BHS”. BHS teacher Mrs. Patti Godette secured over 200 granola bar donations, which allowed the PALS staff to focus on service learning opportunity without worrying about the related costs. Students in the PALS program spent time decorating and writing words of encouragement on stickers that were placed on the bars. The inspirational granola bars were then given to Bremen High School football program to provide a quick snack for players, as well as a small note of motivation and encouragement.
“One of the best aspects of Bremen High School is the connection our staff and students have with one another. We focus on helping the students be the best they can be and part of that is teaching them to give back and strive for excellence inside and outside of the classroom. We truly are blessed to work in such a positive atmosphere that promotes generosity and community service. We [as a staff] are helping our students become passionate, caring adults that will aspire to assist those in need when needed. In my opinion, that is one of the most important elements in education today,” said Mr. Dan Stell, Bremen High School Varsity Football Coach.
