Bremen HS Students Explore SSC
South Suburban College offers more than just traditional classes
Five Bremen High School seniors recently traveled to South Suburban College for their “Explore SSC” day. The students were able to see several hands-on programs including Building Construction, Fine Arts, Welding, T.V. and Radio, and briefly talked to a representative from the Commercial Driver’s License department. Senior Encarnacion Tamez said, “This was the most informative and fun field trip I’ve ever been on. I really liked using the sound board in the T.V. studio and the welding simulator.” Students were able to see that South Suburban offers more than just traditional classes. “South Suburban recruiter Sashae Capolillo went all out for us; she was able to answer all of the students’ questions and showed them a great time. Besides our hands-on tour, she also had several representatives from business offices come talk to the students. I would highly recommend all students come check out South Suburban at some point throughout their high school career,” said business teacher Mrs. Amber Guzak.
