Bremen HS Students Show Their Creative Side

Childcare II students design bulletin boards

Bremen High School Childcare II students study many aspects of the education field and child care, one of them being how to visually appeal to the students through use of bulletin boards. Instead of just learning about making invigorating boards, teacher Kim Flannigan had the students help Bremen teachers with their back to school boards.

Students set up a fundraiser that charged the teachers depending on the size of the board. The money raised went to buy new supplies for future boards. “This has become a fundraiser that the Bremen staff look forward to and anticipate happening. It’s so nice to allow the students to help make Bremen visually appealing and become part of the team that helps get the school ready,” said Flannigan.

BHS Childcare II Student Sam Posch had this to say about the project, “Coming up with the bulletin board designs and then creating them was a great experience. It was fun to see everyone’s progress day by day. It also helped us to get a view of everyone’s creative side. I would definitely do this again; even though it was a long process, it was worth it in the end!”
